FAQ

1. About

Krome Photos service creates Images That Sell™ products by designing, photographing and creating listing (white cut out), lifestyle (new models and backgrounds), and infographic images (detailed informational graphics to help close the sale).

Design:
Krome uses success data and AI to highlight winning design elements from images that are selling similar products.  Krome designers leverage the highlighted design elements to provide a Design Brief with listing, lifestyle and infographic designs to choose from.

Photography:
After the image designs are chosen, Krome’s photographers will photograph the products in the studio, or remotely, to get the photos needed for the listing, lifestyle & infographic images.

Image Creation:
Krome’s team of professional editors will assemble the final listing, lifestyle and infographic images using the designs, photography and model images to create the perfect product images to increase sales.

eMarketer states that 83% of digital purchase decisions are based on the product photos – even more than reviews which were only 75%.  Krome’s analysis shows that products with lifestyle and infographic images have 2.2x higher rank than products with only a listing image.

Current market solutions for effective product images typically require time, multiple experts, and significant budget, costing anywhere between $100 to $1,000 per image. Krome’s price point, speed and AI driven recommendations enable any sized business to get the images needed to sell their products.

We also offer Krome Remote Photography, our proprietary technology to connect you with a live photographer remotely via a mobile app in which the remote photographer will provide instructions on how to photograph your product at the best angle, with proper lighting and settings. The remote photographer also has the ability to control your camera settings to ensure the best results.

4. How to ship your product to us

5. What is Remote Photography and its process

Often a product is too large, too heavy or too expensive to be shipped to our studio for photography. Instead, Remote Photography is a clever method for helping our customers photograph their own products while utilizing the expert guidance of one of our staff photographers.

The process in 5 easy steps:

  1. You’ll receive your meeting ID via email along with your scheduled meeting confirmation.
  2. Download the Remote Photographer app.
  3. At the time of the meeting, prepare your product in a well-lit area and open the app to enter your meeting ID.
  4. Your remote photographer will go over the concept images with you and provide directions for the best results via text and voice in the app.
  5. Your remote photographer can see the camera video in real-time and can adjust focus, color, and brightness. He or she can also initiate the shutter for you.

The picture is automatically sent to the remote photographer for review and approved images will be forwarded to the art team to complete your final images.
